With the development of China's economy, the amount of used clothes discarded by residents has increased year by year. According to incomplete statistics, China discards nearly 30 million tons of used clothes each year, while the recycling volume accounts for only 10% of the total discarded used clothes. The unrecycled used clothes can only be incinerated or landfilled, causing severe pollution to water bodies, soil, and other environments. At the same time, since 2017 the country has banned the import of "foreign garbage" and began implementing a garbage classification policy, opening a huge gap for the domestic renewable resource market. In more than 50 countries in Africa, economic development is very lagging, and domestic infrastructure construction is quite weak. Most countries do not even have a single textile enterprise, let alone garment processing capacity, and mainly rely on importing second-hand clothing to meet domestic demand. About 90% of Africa's population lacks adequate clothing and has nothing to wear, creating enormous demand for used clothing. In addition to Africa, some countries in Southeast Asia also have the same demand.
