On August 26, during the 2026 China International Textile Yarn (Autumn/Winter) Exhibition, Jiangsu Peipu Technology Group Co., Ltd. held a press conference at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), announcing that its BioCulus enzymatic hydrolysis T2T (textile-to-textile) closed-loop textile waste recycling technology has officially entered the stage of large-scale mass production, while also launching its new V4.0 microfiber recycled fiber product. Jin Gaoling, Vice President of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, stated that T2T technology is a core breakthrough driving the transformation and upgrading of the recycled fiber industry, and that Peipu has persisted in pursuing both physical methods and enzymatic hydrolysis in parallel, building complete industrial chain capabilities from waste bottles and waste textiles to spinning and fabrics.

According to Ye Guohao, co-founder of Peipu, the BioCulus process now in production adopts a low-temperature, mild reaction pathway that can break down blended waste textiles into their smallest monomers, while simultaneously separating and removing PFAS per- and polyfluoroalkyl hazardous substances, producing zero-fluorine, high-purity recycled polyester yarn. This process effectively avoids industry pain points such as the downgrade losses of physically recycled fibers and the high energy consumption and high pollution of traditional chemical methods. Product quality is comparable to virgin polyester, helping brands build low-carbon, compliant supply chain systems. The V4.0 microfiber recycled filament launched at the same time has a fineness as low as 10D, further expanding the application boundaries of recycled fibers in high-end lightweight fabrics.

Peipu has now completed a 10,000-ton-scale industrialization layout, achieving full-process independent controllability from textile waste recycling, sorting, enzymatic hydrolysis, and repolymerization to spinning and weaving, and has obtained the industry's first GRS certification for enzymatic hydrolysis recycling, ensuring full traceability of recycled materials throughout the process. The company has also built its own green electricity system, creating a dual carbon-reduction model of "bio closed-loop defluorination regeneration + photovoltaic clean energy." Previously, Peipu was selected for the United Nations SPARK Selected 2026 sustainable innovation list and won the PERFORMANCE DAYS Eco Performance Award.

Speaking about the industry's future, Ye Guohao believes that the textile recycling industry is in a window of opportunity, but that moving technology from the laboratory to large-scale mass production still faces practical challenges such as standardization of the recycling chain and optimization of overall costs, requiring the global industrial chain to work together to advance implementable guidelines and traceability systems.
