From May 14 to 17, 2026, secondhand clothing recycling platform Dangdang Yixia and Shangpin Discount jointly launched a clothing recycling campaign at the Shangpin Discount Mall Huilongguan store in Beijing, bringing recycling services directly into a physical shopping mall and testing a cross-sector "commercial space + eco-friendly recycling" cooperation model.

The campaign featured both offline and online participation channels. Consumers could bring sorted clothing, home textiles, shoes, and bags to the mall booth for on-site handover, or book free door-to-door pickup through a dedicated online page. Those handing over items on-site could immediately receive small gifts and a customized eco-friendly charity certificate; those who booked online could show their order screenshot at the store to exchange for a limited-edition physical eco certificate or a digital certificate. The dual-channel arrangement was designed to lower the barrier to participation as much as possible.

The recycling chain was handled by Dangdang Yixia. After unified sorting and classification, the secondhand clothing delivered by users was converted into charitable supplies for targeted donations. In terms of pricing, Dangdang Yixia's clothing recycling is priced at 0.5–1.0 yuan/kg, with no distinction by clothing category; its door-to-door pickup service already covers most provinces and municipalities across the country and more than 300 cities. This standardized process and transparent pricing served as the service foundation for this collaboration with a commercial brand.

In terms of benefits for both sides, the mall used the environmental campaign to enrich its offline interactive experience, give customers more reasons to visit and extend their stay, while also strengthening its image of social responsibility; the recycling platform, in turn, leveraged the offline scenarios of a mature commercial brand to broaden its clothing collection channels and increase public exposure. Combined with incentives such as certificates and gifts, secondhand clothing recycling was given social and honorary attributes, no longer merely a matter of waste disposal.

What makes this case replicable is that offline foot traffic is connected with professional recycling capacity, further combined with online-offline interaction and both material and spiritual incentives, providing a relatively mature path for future environmental cooperation among brands, platforms, and even event organizers.
