On the afternoon of September 16, the Shanwei Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology organized local textile and garment enterprises — including Guangdong Beston Garments, Haifeng County Jinpai Garments, Guangdong Jinniaolai Garments, Shanwei Kaitong Garment Manufacturing, and Yijie Garments — to attend the Guangdong Province Manufacturing Empowerment Matchmaking Series Event · September Garment Special Session and the 2026 Guangdong Garment Supply and Demand Matchmaking Conference in Panyu District, Guangzhou.
According to the Shanwei Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the event adopted an integrated approach of "organizing exhibition participation, investment matchmaking, and platform expansion," aiming to help enterprises explore markets while also promoting Shanwei's business environment.
During the exhibition segment, participating Shanwei enterprises took part in static supply chain displays and new product runway shows, showcasing the features of local textile and garment products, supply chain advantages, and brand image.
On the investment matchmaking front, Zhong Runkai, Section Chief of the Materials and Consumer Goods Industry Section of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, held discussions on-site with heads of Guangzhou Yiran Textile Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Haidijunxiu Dongfang Industrial Co., Ltd., and Shantou Qiancheng Weaving Co., Ltd., learning about their recent investment needs and future plans. He highlighted Shanwei's industrial policies, factory facilities, and business environment, and invited them to visit Shanwei for on-site inspections.
On platform expansion, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology also connected with regional heads of Xiyin and Amazon to explore cooperation possibilities in e-commerce platforms, supply chain coordination, brand marketing, and market expansion, promoting the integration of platform resources with Shanwei's textile and garment industry.
The Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology stated that next steps will include continued follow-up with interested enterprises, arranging invitations for on-site visits to Shanwei and providing follow-up services to ensure matchmaking results are implemented.
For the second-hand clothing trade industry, such government-organized production-sales matchmaking and investment promotion activities reflect that the upstream garment manufacturing sector is still actively expanding domestic channels and platform cooperation. Changes in its supply chain resources and processing capacity may have an indirect impact on the subsequent garment circulation and second-hand clothing supply landscape.
