On September 22, the Hubei Provincial Textile and Apparel Industry Digitalization and AI Innovation Application On-Site Work Meeting was held at Faliang Fashion in Xishui County, Huanggang City. The meeting focused on promoting digital transformation cases, building a digital centralized procurement platform, and establishing a dedicated industry service organization, with the goal of breaking down collaborative barriers among technology, talent, capital, and the supply chain, and accelerating the digital and intelligent transformation of the province's textile and apparel industry.

The meeting selected Faliang Fashion as a demonstration sample because its digital and intelligent transformation results are concrete: cutting efficiency increased by 25% compared with manual work, while efficiency in template machines, hanging systems, and warehouse operations increased by 20%, 25%, and 70%, respectively. This garment company mainly produces cotton and down product lines, and its output has grown from just over 100,000 pieces to more than 1 million pieces. From January to August this year, it achieved an output value of 140 million yuan, with orders fully booked through 2027, and its products are sold in domestic and international markets. Walking into its workshop, robots handle material transport, the digital hanging system assembles sleeves, linings, hoods, and other components before delivering them to workstations, while the packaging process achieves full automation in sorting, box opening, box sealing, and warehousing.

In response to the common problems faced by textile and apparel enterprises in digital transformation, such as high costs, difficult selection, difficult coordination, and difficult implementation, Wuhan Changjiang Yunshang Supply Chain Co., Ltd. integrated enterprise, technology, and platform resources and launched a digital centralized procurement mechanism for textiles and apparel, aiming to make the empowerment system scalable, standardized, and inclusive. At the meeting, Hubei Province's textile and apparel "digital centralized procurement" registration plan was released, and hardware service providers, software service providers, and AI and comprehensive service providers from the industry signed cooperation agreements on site, becoming the first batch of registered service providers.

At the same time, Hubei began preparations to establish the Hubei Provincial Textile and Apparel Digitalization Promotion Center. The center plans to integrate various resources such as industry-university-research collaboration and government-enterprise services, and to carry out regular work in technology promotion, case cultivation, talent training, supply-demand matching, and policy implementation, promoting the province's apparel industry to leap from "single-point transformation" to "systemic upgrading."

From an industry perspective, this layout directly addresses the decision-making difficulties garment manufacturers face in digital and intelligent investment: the path of individual enterprises selecting solutions, negotiating prices, and trial-and-error item by item is extremely costly, while a centralized procurement and public service platform guided by the government and led by chain-leading enterprises is expected to package and deliver technical solutions and service systems downward, lowering the transformation threshold for small and medium-sized factories and enabling digitalization to truly enter all process links such as cutting, sewing, warehousing, packaging, and logistics.
