On September 15, the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" Textile and Apparel Production-Sales Matchmaking City Alliance September Special Promotion Event kicked off in Panyu, Guangzhou, with the 2026 Guangdong Fashion Week—Autumn opening concurrently. The event will run until September 23.

According to the organizers, this special event focuses on new product debuts by supply chain enterprises, showcasing the apparel supply capacity of cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shantou, Foshan, Shanwei, Dongguan, Zhongshan, and Jieyang. It is the apparel special event of the provincial manufacturing empowerment matchmaking series for September.

The event adopts a four-in-one model of "exhibition + show + conference + matchmaking": new product trend runway shows, supply chain static exhibitions, industry-themed conferences, and one-on-one supply-demand negotiations unfold simultaneously, aiming to connect industrial clusters, manufacturing factories, e-commerce platforms, and domestic and overseas buyers, and to open up the complete circulation chain from production and manufacturing, offline wholesale, and retail chains to cross-border procurement. The seven cities within the alliance use this opportunity to advance capacity complementarity and joint brand building, broadening the dual channels of domestic and export sales for Guangdong goods.

In terms of brand launches, over a hundred Guangdong apparel brands leverage the debut and first-show platform of Guangdong Fashion Week to present original designs and trend directions through runway shows, pop-up events, e-commerce livestreaming, and virtual fashion week tours, while linking with the consumption scenarios of the Chimelong Wanbo business district to connect the industrial end with the terminal market and advance fashion industry collaboration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. During the event, the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" Autumn Action apparel static exhibition and the Guangdong Apparel Leading Brands New Product Series Launch were also held, concentrating on showcasing featured new products in textiles, apparel, and footwear, with themes centered on cutting-edge digital technologies and diverse industrial application scenarios, aiming to smooth the domestic and export channels for brands and designers and to drive Guangdong apparel from product export toward brand export, original design export, and Lingnan fashion culture export.

In terms of industrial scale, in 2025 Guangdong Province had nearly 4,300 textile and apparel enterprises above designated size, with revenue of nearly 360 billion yuan, accounting for about 12% of the national total; in the first half of this year, the province's apparel exports reached 74.12 billion yuan, up 7.5% year-on-year, 8.2 percentage points higher than the national average.

For the used clothing and textile-apparel trade industry, this regional event centered on supply chain debuts and cross-border procurement matchmaking reflects precisely the accelerating capacity collaboration and export structure transformation on the global apparel supply side—whether in new product circulation or the subsequent resale segment, the source supply capacity and the direction of export channels will directly affect the categories and prices of used clothing supply.
