Recently, the Industrial Office of Haokou Town in Qianjiang City, Hubei Province, organized staff to visit local textile and garment enterprises including Dongchun Garment, Aimei Apparel, and Fenghao Apparel, carrying out workplace safety inspections and awareness campaigns to further reinforce enterprises' primary responsibility for workplace safety.

The working group went deep into production workshops and raw material storage areas, focusing on investigating prominent risks and hazards in the textile and garment industry. They carefully inspected the maintenance of firefighting equipment, whether emergency evacuation routes were unobstructed, whether workshop electrical wiring met standards, and the management of fabric and accessory storage. Given that textile enterprises generally handle flammable materials such as fabric, thread ends, and packaging materials, putting significant pressure on fire safety, staff on site explained fire safety management regulations to enterprise leaders and workshop managers, urging enterprises to strictly control hot work operations, promptly clear accumulated combustible debris in workshops, and implement routine fire prevention patrol systems.

During the visits, staff also promoted workplace safety laws and regulations to enterprises, encouraging them to establish and improve safety management systems, regularly conduct employee safety training and fire emergency drills, and effectively enhance frontline workers' ability to prevent risks and respond to emergencies. At the same time, the working group actively learned about enterprises' current order books, hiring needs, and production operations, earnestly collected the concerns enterprises encounter in their development, provided follow-up services for enterprises, and guided them to balance workplace safety with daily production and operations.

Haokou Town authorities stated that next they will continue to focus on key industrial sectors such as textiles and garments and wood processing, persist in combining safety awareness with hazard inspections, advance enterprise services and safety oversight in tandem, firmly hold the bottom line of workplace safety in the industrial sector, and provide safeguards for the stable and orderly development of industrial enterprises in the jurisdiction.
