UNIQLO will hold the RE.UNIQLO old clothing recycling raffle at designated stores across Taiwan from October 9 to November 8, 2026: consumers who bring no-longer-worn UNIQLO/GU clothing from all lines (excluding intimate apparel) to in-store recycling bins and complete registration can enter a draw for a limited-edition "Recycled Cashmere-Blend Scarf," with 100 scarves in total; the winner list is expected to be announced on November 16 on the UNIQLO Taiwan official website FAQ, and winners must provide prize-claim information via Facebook or Instagram direct message to the official account by November 30.
Key Points
- The campaign runs from October 9 to November 8, 2026. Deposit UNIQLO/GU clothing from all lines (excluding intimate apparel) and register to enter the raffle; each person may register only once.
- The prize is a recycled cashmere-blend scarf, with 100 scarves to be given away; the winner list will be announced on November 16, and the prize-claim reply deadline is November 30.
- The RE.UNIQLO initiative has three paths: "REDUCE" (cherish clothes and cut waste), "REUSE" (recycling donations), and "RECYCLE" (recycling and regeneration), and it works with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), NGOs, and NPOs to send sorted clothing to refugee camps and disaster areas worldwide.
The RE.UNIQLO clothing recycling and regeneration initiative aims to build a circular society for clothing and offers multiple channels for giving garments a second life. Among them, "REDUCE" extends clothing lifespan through repair and alteration; "REUSE" sorts and organizes clothing for use as social relief supplies; and "RECYCLE" processes items into fuel briquettes or recycled materials. The brand also cooperates with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and non-profit organizations (NPOs) to deliver clothing as emergency aid to refugee camps and disaster areas around the world.
Regarding the raffle rules, during the campaign period eligible clothing must be placed in recycling bins at designated stores across Taiwan; for duplicate registrations, the first registration data will prevail, and those with incomplete or false information will be disqualified from the raffle, while those who fail to complete clothing recycling may not participate. Those who do not reply by the deadline, cannot be contacted, or do not meet the qualifications will be deemed to have forfeited their winning qualification, with no separate notice.
For old clothing not from the UNIQLO brand, the Taipei City Government Department of Environmental Protection notes that old clothes that are cleaned and organized and still usable can be recycled, including outerwear, outer pants, skirts, dresses, vests, coats, suits, and clean elastic women's underwear; the public can check approved locations on the Department of Environmental Protection website or use the Taipei Pass app with phone location enabled to find nearby old clothing recycling bins. Other textiles such as quilts, pillows, bed sheets, bedspreads, hats, underwear, shoes and socks, curtains, towels, aprons, carpets, mats, yarn, belts, purses, gloves, cushions, plush toys, stuffed dolls, cloth bags, and fabric strips are not eligible for recycling.
This event combines old clothing recycling with a raffle incentive, reflecting how the brand is using recycling actions to extend touchpoints for clothing lifecycle management; for the recycling industry, the normalization of brand-store recycling channels means that the structure and source labeling of upstream sortable supply are moving further toward branding and homogenization.
