Italian fashion-tech company Deda Stealth, part of Dedagroup, and California-based resale technology company Trove have announced a strategic partnership that connects the former's resale data intelligence platform, Stealth Revalue, with the latter's brand resale operations platform. The two sides say the collaboration is intended to give luxury brands greater visibility and control over the full product lifecycle, turning circularity from a sustainability talking point into a source of growth and profit.
Key points
- Deda Stealth's Stealth Revalue (developed by Competitoor) has been integrated with Trove's brand resale technology platform, covering intake and assessment of second-hand goods, AI pricing, channel management and circular logistics.
- According to a resale report jointly published by ThredUp and GlobalData, the global second-hand apparel market is projected to reach $393 billion by 2030, growing at twice the rate of the overall apparel market; the US market is expected to reach $78.8 billion.
- According to BoF and McKinsey's "The State of Fashion: Face to Face with Luxury Clients 2026," as many as 59% of frequent luxury buyers purchase second-hand goods, and Trove's platform carries more than 75% of branded resale traffic in the US.
In terms of division of labor, the two companies' capabilities complement each other. Stealth Revalue provides insight into prices, demand trends, the evolution of product value and broader secondary-market dynamics; Trove handles the operational execution of brand resale programs, including intake and authentication of second-hand goods, AI pricing, day-to-day management of brand resale channels and circular logistics.
By combining market intelligence with operational execution, luxury brands gain a set of tools to actively manage the resale market: aligning pricing more closely with real market conditions, protecting brand positioning and long-term value, and reaching a new generation of consumers. Conversely, data generated by secondary-market transactions can also tell brands which items, styles and materials hold their value and remain appealing over time—findings that can feed back into future design, production and sourcing decisions.
Deda Stealth CEO Luca Tonello said luxury value has always been built on rarity and exclusivity, and the resale market does not undermine that value but extends and amplifies it, bringing it to new consumers; brands that understand this are not losing ground but creating new sources of value and engagement beyond the first transaction. He framed the partnership as a concrete response to the US and international markets: how luxury brands can manage a product's "second life" while preserving their identity, and turn circularity into a sustainable growth opportunity.
Trove CEO Terry Boyle emphasized that luxury brands invest deeply in the enduring appeal, craftsmanship and lasting value of their products, and should be able to protect those qualities throughout the product lifecycle; Trove provides the technology and operational infrastructure, from assessing and pricing returned goods to managing brand resale channels and circular logistics.
The partnership also extends Deda Stealth's long-standing commitment to fashion circularity. The company has for years participated in Monitor for Circular Fashion—a multi-stakeholder project supported by the SDA Bocconi School of Management's Sustainability Lab that tracks the evolution of circular business models in the industry each year; it also works with academic institutions including NYU Stern School of Business to explore new paths for circular and technology-enabled business models.
For the industry, the takeaway from this alliance is that brand resale is moving from simply "selling second-hand goods" to a link in the chain that can be managed through data. If brands can master both secondary-market price signals and resale operational capabilities, they may find a new balance between preserving value, controlling prices and acquiring new customers.
