Yao Lin stated that textile and garment is a traditional advantageous pillar industry of Guangdong Province, and Shantou, as a core cluster area, enjoys a reputation at home and abroad for "Shantou Weaving." The launch and operation of the trading market is a key measure to implement the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" strategy and promote industry-trade linkage and domestic-international connectivity, making active explorations for the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade in the province's traditional industries. The Provincial Department of Commerce will increase support in market cultivation, production-sales matching, and cross-border trade.

Li Fei stated that the trading market and Shantou International Textile City operate in an integrated and mutually empowering manner, promoting deep integration of "production, trade, digitalization, and innovation" and creating an industrial community that combines creative implementation, brand growth, and supply-demand matching. At the opening ceremony, the Shantou Digital Trade Empowerment Textile Industry Ecological Alliance was launched, the Textile Industry Digital Trade Service Center was inaugurated, the Shantou Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute, Chaoyang Intimate Apparel Research Institute, and "Shanfang Zhenpin" livestream center were unveiled, the 2027 "Chaoyang Rising in the East" Intimate Apparel Global Model Competition was launched, and contracts were signed with key domestic and international buyers.
