Recently, Victoria Rose, ex-wife of England rugby star Danny Cipriani, has been listing a large number of the former international's personal items on second-hand marketplace Vinted, including old jerseys, memorabilia, and trophies, with a total value of several hundred pounds. These items have been stored in a warehouse Victoria has rented at her own expense since last year, costing £900 per month.
Among the listings are high-priced memorabilia: a framed Sale Sharks jersey priced at £368, a Premiership Rugby Player of the Month trophy at £850, an England national team red velvet cap at £1,200, plus a pair of Armani men's shoes and clothing from several other brands. Victoria said she is also clearing out Cipriani's Gloucester-era jerseys, which will be listed gradually, while some items that cannot be sold via Vinted are being offered to buyers privately through social media.
Notably, the timing of these sales coincides with Cipriani's "crowdfunded wedding" to actress AnnaLynne McCord in Los Angeles last weekend. According to reports, the couple asked friends and family to donate to their wedding via the Honeyfund platform, with contributions ranging from £75 to £450. In comments to the media, Victoria criticized the fundraising as "tacky," noting that the Ciprianis can easily afford their wedding expenses.
It is said that Cipriani suddenly left home in January 2024 to live in the US, taking only "a few pairs of tracksuit bottoms" and leaving two bedrooms' worth of personal belongings in his ex-wife's care, including childhood toys, baby teeth, and proof of his rugby career honors. In August 2024, Victoria formally filed for divorce. She previously said she received a statement from Cipriani that he "left without any explanation." She has described this large-scale listing as "decluttering" and clearing out memories. "The vast majority are jerseys and kit Cipriani acquired during his professional career, many signed or with match commemorative significance," she wrote in her Vinted page description. "Mainly genuine items, and the personal designer clothing is all authentic as well."
