Eindhoven, Netherlands — Online fashion retailer Zalando has moved recycled materials company Re&Up's next-generation cotton fibers from pilot to mass production for its own brands, launching a five-style T-shirt collection. The collection uses circular knitting, with fabric blended from 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled fibers derived from pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste.

The collection launched on the Zalando platform in August this year under its own Yourturn and Even&Odd brands, positioned as a testing ground for next-generation materials at entry-level price points with a quality focus. Each style uses a circular knit structure, closely linking the initiative to the knitting and garment manufacturing supply chain.

This move from pilot to mass production for its own brands marks a substantive step forward in the commercial application of Re&Up's recycled fibers in branded products. The recycled fiber raw material comes from pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste, embodying a textile-to-textile circular pathway. Organic cotton makes up 80% of the fabric, ensuring wearing quality; recycled fibers account for 20%, introducing recycled content while maintaining the performance of circular knit fabrics and providing a reference for subsequently increasing the recycled proportion.
