U.S. secondhand apparel e-commerce platform ThredUp (Nasdaq: TDUP) recently announced that co-founder and CEO James Reinhart and CFO Sean Sobers will participate in two investor conferences.
The first is Goldman Sachs' 33rd Annual Global Retailing Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 2026; the second is Wells Fargo's 9th Annual Consumer Conference, taking place Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:05 a.m. PT, or 12:30 to 1:05 p.m. ET. The latter will be webcast on ThredUp's investor relations website.
ThredUp positions itself as using technology to transform the resale model and is currently one of the world's larger online resale platforms for clothing, shoes, and accessories. The platform gives sellers a way to clear out their closets, earning money or donating to a designated charity; buyers can purchase value, premium, and luxury brand items on the same platform at prices up to 90% below estimated retail price. Its proprietary operating platform consists of distributed processing infrastructure, proprietary software systems, and data science capabilities that support its managed marketplace business. Through Resale-as-a-Service, multiple brands and retailers can use the ThredUp platform to offer their customers customizable, scalable secondhand resale experiences. To date, ThredUp has processed more than 250 million unique secondhand items from 60,000 brands across 100 categories.
As planned, management will communicate with investors at the conferences, with specifics to be disclosed on site. For practitioners following the secondhand apparel sector, the appearance of leading platforms at retail and consumer conferences is often a window into the resale market's financing environment and growth expectations.
