AMI has announced that the inaugural Textiles Manufacturing Expo will be held from April 7–8, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina, USA, co-located and running alongside the established Textiles Recycling Expo USA. The new expo will focus on the technology, machinery, materials, and expertise behind modern textile, fiber, and yarn production, aiming to connect raw material suppliers, production equipment providers, and manufacturers, and to drive exchange and collaboration across the industry's upstream and downstream.
In April 2026, Textiles Recycling Expo USA was held in Charlotte for the first time. The two-day event attracted 1,858 attendees, 95 exhibitors, and 52 expert speakers. Building on that success, AMI decided to add the manufacturing expo, creating a joint platform covering the full textile lifecycle that brings together manufacturers, technology suppliers, material suppliers, brands, designers, recyclers, and more.
Chrissy Winegarden, Exhibition Sales Manager at AMI, said the new expo will provide a much-needed forum for raw material and production technology suppliers to discuss with manufacturers the innovations and applications that move the industry forward. She noted that many manufacturers are already regulars at the recycling expo, so sharing the same stage will give suppliers a ready-made audience of industry professionals.
The manufacturing expo's exhibitor scope includes suppliers of machinery and equipment for textile manufacturing, finishing, and printing; fiber and yarn suppliers; providers of dyes, chemicals, and finishing solutions; testing, inspection, and quality assurance organizations; automation, AI, and smart manufacturing experts; software and digital solution providers; and consulting and R&D organizations. The event will also feature a dedicated conference area hosting keynote speeches, technical sessions, and real-world case studies.
Charlotte, a traditional stronghold of the textile industry with a mature manufacturing ecosystem, remains a gathering place for textile innovators, research institutions, and technology suppliers, providing an ideal environment for launching the new expo.
AMI is a leading organizer of international exhibitions for the recycling and manufacturing markets. In addition to the Textiles Recycling Expo events in Europe and the US, it also hosts the AMI Plastics World Expos in Cleveland, USA, and offers a number of conferences on mechanical and chemical recycling.
