Kolpingfamilie Grünstadt-Bockenheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, will hold a used clothing and shoe donation collection on Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at multiple locations. Donation points include: the NLD company parking lot in Grünstadt-Asselheim (Wormser Straße 4), the Catholic church/parish center in Grünstadt, the churches or parish centers in Sausenheim, Neuleiningen, and Kirchheim, as well as the Catholic church in Mertesheim and Kolpingstraße 3 in Bockenheim. Since August, collection bags have been placed in the churches for donors to pick up; donors may also use their own ordinary garbage bags with a capacity of no more than 60 liters to pack their donations and deliver them on the day of the event. This collection is commissioned by Kolpingwerk of the Diocese of Speyer, and the proceeds will be used to support Kolping families in Tocantins State in northern Brazil.
