From late 2025 to early 2026, the circular service platform Dangdang Yixia joined forces with the popular IP Nono Dog to launch an online old clothing recycling campaign, attempting to link household idle clothing disposal with trendy toy culture.
The campaign's specific arrangement: consumers book the old clothing recycling service through online channels, and once the order is completed and the recycled weight reaches 12kg, they can enter the lottery and delivery process for the limited-edition mug. The campaign runs from December 26, 2025 to January 4, 2026, corresponding to the "2025 Nono Dog Clothing Renewal Gift Season Double Festival Event."
In previous old clothing recycling brand collaborations, users typically only cared about basic services such as whether door-to-door pickup was available. By introducing a well-known cultural IP into the recycling entry point, Dangdang Yixia aims to boost participation enthusiasm with limited-edition merchandise: the weight threshold ensures that a single recycling instance reaches a certain scale, while the emotional connection between Nono Dog and users adds a layer of emotional reward to clearing out idle clothing, rather than it being purely an environmental act.
From a communication perspective, the appeal of limited-edition merchandise helps increase users' willingness to share spontaneously on social networks, giving the campaign broader exposure; from a user decision-making perspective, combining the release of household space with obtaining desired IP merchandise in a single action also lowers the psychological barrier to dealing with idle clothing. For the old clothing recycling industry, this case demonstrates that through the combination of scenario design and cultural elements, brand collaborations in the old clothing recycling sector can break away from traditional paths and find a balance between platform benefits and user experience.
