In May 2025, the carbon inclusion platform Qingtanxing App officially launched an old clothing recycling section, partnering with Dangdang Yixia, which focuses on household circular services. After completing authorization within the app, users can book free doorstep pickup with one click; for every 1 kg of old clothing recycled, the account receives 1,800 Qingtanxing points, which can be redeemed for goods in the points mall.
Public information shows that Qingtanxing was developed by Baiye Green Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. and launched in June 2021. It is built on the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China's "ICBC Xilian" blockchain technology and operates under the guidance of the People's Bank of China Qingdao Central Sub-branch, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Big Data Bureau, and other departments. It is positioned as China's first carbon inclusion platform settled in digital renminbi. As of November 2024, the platform's users had exceeded 6 million.
On the recycling backend, Dangdang Yixia conducts fine sorting of old clothing collected at the doorstep: clothing of better quality is cleaned and disinfected for charitable donation; the portion unsuitable for donation is processed into new textile materials through environmentally friendly regeneration technology; and some clothing enters sustainable circulation channels to continue to provide use value.
For China's old clothing recycling industry, the reference value of this case lies in the combination of channels and incentives: the carbon inclusion platform uses mature recycling services to supplement scenarios and enhance user stickiness, while the recycling brand uses the platform's existing user pool and points system to expand coverage, lower customer acquisition costs, and connect the disposal of idle household clothing with personal carbon accounts.
