On September 21, the fan group of artist Tian Xuning, "Lemonade," launched its first old clothing recycling drive. The campaign converts the total weight accumulated by fans during the recycling process into stationery, extracurricular books, and sports equipment, which are donated directly to Gaola Primary School.
Unlike the common approach of direct fundraising or purchasing supplies for donation, this campaign links the destination of idle clothing with the actual needs of the recipient primary school—old clothes are taken in by recycling channels, and the recycling volume is converted into teaching and learning supplies, giving the old clothes in donors' hands a clear outlet and giving the love delivered to rural schools a traceable destination.
From a planning perspective, the campaign takes into account both the needs of the recipients and the experience of participating fans, emphasizing detailed and practical procedures, and channeling fan enthusiasm into actionable charitable action.
Although such fan-community-led old clothing recycling is limited in scale, it provides a grassroots participation model for clothing circularity: recycling weight is transformed into concrete educational and sports supplies, and the destination of old clothes is both an environmental issue and an entry point for public welfare, helping to turn one-off goodwill into a sustained recycling habit.
