The district of Roth (Landkreis Roth) in Bavaria, Germany, will see an old clothes collection event on September 26 (Saturday), organized by the Roth-Schwabach district association of the Protestant Rural Youth (Evangelische Landjugend, ELJ). In its announcement, the organizers listed the accepted items: adult and children's clothing, knitwear, bed sheets and household textiles, blankets, and various types of footwear and textile products.

Clothing should be placed in sturdy bags for drop-off, while shoes must be packed in pairs and bagged separately. For residents living far from the street, the organizers suggest moving donations to the nearest vehicle-accessible road in advance. The collection will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

According to the arrangements, all collection bags must be placed in a visible spot by the roadside before 7 a.m. on the 26th, and will be picked up along the route by the organization's local groups that morning.

ELJ groups from Barthelmesaurach, Kammerstein, Roth, Schwabach, and Rittersbach are participating in this door-to-door collection, covering a total of 39 villages and towns, including Ebersbach, Kapsdorf, Leiperslohe, Rudelsdorf, Mildach, Haubenhof, Günzersreuth, Albersreuth, Hasenmühle, Waikersreuth, Oberreichenbach, Putzenreuth, Volkersgau, Neppersreuth, Poppenreuth, Haag, Schattenhof, Schopfhof, Neumühle, Götzenreuth, Belmbrach, Hofstetten, Meckenlohe, Rothaurach, Aurau, Breitenlohe, Kühedorf, Alt-Schwand, Mittelhembach, Harm, Schaftnach, Gustenfelden, Kottensdorf, Wildenbergen, Weinmannshof, Asbach, and Mäbenberg.

Residents outside the door-to-door collection area can bring their clothes directly to the central collection point at Hauptstraße 1 in Kammerstein between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. that day. For questions about drop-off, email kv-rhsc@elj.de.

In addition, the district association also announced its Thanksgiving (Erntedankfest) event: this year's Thanksgiving will be held on October 4 (Sunday) at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m., at the Bürgerhaus at Dorfstraße 23 in Kammerstein.
