Key Points

  • The campaign runs from now until October 31, 2026
  • Accepted items include usable clothing such as outerwear, trousers, skirts, dresses, vests, coats, and suits

The Keelung City Environmental Protection Bureau stated that the purpose of this cross-sector collaboration is to encourage private clothing retailers to join environmental protection efforts and provide citizens with more convenient old clothing recycling channels. The bureau reminded the public to clean and organize items before handing them in, keep them dry, and package them properly to ensure effective resource reuse, maintain the store environment, and extend the lifespan of clothing.

Environmental Protection Bureau Director Ma Chung-hao called on residents to choose proper recycling channels for reusable old clothes at home and not to discard them casually; doing so can not only reduce the burden of waste disposal but also give old clothes a new life. The Environmental Protection Bureau hopes the discount incentive will encourage everyone to support green consumption and the circular economy, moving Keelung toward its low-carbon sustainability goals.
